Landscaping in Sebastopol, CA

Sebastopol has a strong gardening culture, and it shows in what people ask for — a lot of our work here is planting rather than hardscape, and it is usually about making a garden productive and low-water rather than simply neat.

The west county sits in a different microclimate from the valley floor, with more fog influence and different soil, so plant selection that works in Sonoma or Napa is not automatically right here. We pick from what actually thrives on the site, get the drip in before the first summer, and mulch properly — which is the part that decides whether a new bed needs constant watering or not.
